Requirements

Candidates should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll configuration with a deep knowledge of payroll payment items, codes, and country-specific legislative requirements. Proven ability to configure formulas, categorize pay elements, and maintain statutory rates is essential. Strong analytical skills for interpreting information from in-country advisors and effective cross-functional collaboration with Product, Quality Assurance, and Development teams are required. Intermediate Excel proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Payroll Product Specialist will facilitate the execution of the build and configuration of Payspace payroll products to ensure compliance with local tax legislation. They will conduct in-depth analysis of advisory packs, define project requirements, and escalate complex issues to the Lead. Responsibilities include writing specifications, coordinating tasks with Payroll Business Analysts and QA, obtaining country build approvals, conducting post-deployment evaluations, and maintaining compliance and quality standards in project builds. Additionally, they will research country-specific legislative regulations, translate legislative documents, configure and test payroll elements, and collaborate to create specifications and development tickets for payroll calculations.
